Airpods Pro VS Galaxy Earbuds |
Samsung Galaxy buds and Apple Pods Pro are two my Favorite pairs are truly wireless earbuds approaching the end 2019 and obviously have a chance to be next pair earbuds.
Lats starting with price at the time the Galaxy buds $130 and the Airpod Pro price of $250.
We have two tiny pairs of earbuds with silicon tips each providing various sizes of those tips to ensure a perfect fit for the galaxy buds. Add an extra level of in-ear support with the curved wings tips ensuring these will never fall out of your ears, but each has their fair share of sensors, microphones, and areas for touch controls on the buds. Which will touch more on later?
I personally prefer the look of black or darker colored earbuds as none of these truly wireless earbuds in 2019 look all that great in my opinion. The black color at least makes them a little less conspicuous whereas. The Airpods just stick out and draw a lot of unnecessary attention. Which is probably Apple's reasoning for sticking with this white color. Everybody at this point knows and recognizes the look of Airpods and Apple wants to keep it that way.

This is my favorite implementation of touch controls as you don't have to press on your ear to skip and reverse your songs. Which can be uncomfortable with some earbuds and every press gives off a satisfying click to let you know which touches are indeed registering. Which you might not be aware of with other earbuds and accidentally sending unintended commands can be annoying, fortunately. These negative points do not hinder the Galaxy buds in any way at all.
The buds make for comfortable tapping and all of your tabs will register without any issue. These are my top two earbuds. As far as touch controls go and either one will suit your needs except for one glaring exception.
Airpods do not have volume controls. This is a significant feature in earbuds for me and to not see it on the Airpods pro is a disappointment, to say the least, but while the volume controls lack, the Airpods Pro definitely make up for it in their transparency and noise cancellation modes. These moods are the reason why you purchase the Airpods Pro.
I'll do my best to explain to them on my site but the experience is a night and day difference compared to the Galaxy buds. The transparency mood lets in all noise in your surroundings and to sound like you're not even wearing earbuds.
The Galaxy buds have an ambient mode as well which attempts to mimic this but the Airpods Pro are excelling by leaps and bounds in the department. The Galaxy Buds give you a very watered down muffled tin sounding portrayal of noises in your surroundings. The Galaxy buds do not have any cancellation technologies but the combination of some decent volume and an extremely snug fit will cancel us a lot of noise in your environment.
Now speaking of the compatibility of these earbuds
I think the majority of viewers of this article will be wondering about using the Airpods Pro and Samsung or other android devices.
If you wondering about Galaxy buds and iPhone compatibility. You are not able to use volume controls and missing out on everything the Galaxy wearables app offers such as its equalizer features and other customizations.
So it's not worth it in my opinion but back to using the Airpods Pro with an Android device. Airpods Pro Full Review here
I've had no issues at all using them with my note 10 plus and really your only difference is not seeing that pop up on the screen. You may be accustomed to seeing when opening up your charging case. Instead, the first time you use these hold down the pairing button on the back of the case go to your Bluetooth settings and select your Airpods for pairing. More importantly, all of your touch controls are still usable which is great.
I can recommend the Airpods Pro to android Smartphone users just as much as iPhone users.
